Chief Learning Officer
JuWon Choi brings more than 20 years of leadership and management experience to her role as Chief Learning Officer at The Association of Junior Leagues International, where she is responsible for defining, creating, and implementing strategies that facilitate continuous learning for Junior League members everywhere, in person and on the web. Prior to joining AJLI in 2012, JuWon served as the Vice President for Educational Services at the Foundation Center, the leading informational resource on philanthropy worldwide. She led its nonprofit capacity building training and education efforts for over 12 years, and oversaw its five regional offices/libraries. Her previous experience includes consulting for nonprofit organizations and managing sponsored projects at Bronx Community College. Born and raised in Korea, JuWon has an Ed.D. and an M.A. in adult and continuing education from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She completed three terms each on the boards of Women in Development and New York Women’s Agenda, and she’s currently on the board of Association of Fundraising Professionals New York City Chapter, and co-chairs its National Philanthropy Day Committee.
