DEARBORN, Mich., April 14, 2015 – The Lincoln Motor Company will support The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) by donating all funds raised at special test drives at two of the organization’s conferences this year.
The Lincoln MKZ midsize premium sedan (gas and hybrid), Lincoln MKC small premium utility and Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV all will be available for test drives.
For each test drive conducted, Lincoln will donate $25. Total proceeds will be split between the Association and the local Junior League where the test drives are taking place.
“Through these special test drives, Lincoln is proud to assist the meaningful, impactful efforts Junior Leagues provide in their communities,” said John Emmert, Lincoln group marketing manager. “One of our passion points is to engage with individuals who are leaders – both through thought and action – in their communities.”
The first test drive is April 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, site of AJLI’s 2015 annual conference.
Test drives that support charities are a cornerstone of the company’s philanthropic efforts. Through its Driven to Give program, Lincoln has donated more than $4 million to schools and charitable organizations nationwide since 2011.“We are thrilled to welcome Lincoln as AJLI’s newest corporate sponsor,” said Laurie Dodge, Director of Marketing and Development at AJLI. “This multi-component partnership provides invaluable financial support to AJLI and local Leagues and
enables us to prepare our members to successfully lead in their local communities and beyond.”
Since its founding in 1901 by social activist Mary Harriman, The Junior League has evolved into one of the oldest, largest and most effective women’s volunteer organizations in the world, encompassing 150,000 women in 292 Leagues in four countries.
The Junior League develops exceptionally qualified civic leaders who collaborate with community partners to identify a community’s most urgent needs and address them with meaningful and relevant programs and initiatives that not only improve lives, but also change the way people think.
A second test drive is set for Sept. 17-19 in New Orleans, site of The Association of Junior Leagues’ fall leadership conference.
