JLstrong Stores: Fundraising

Junior Leagues across the Association are taking many steps to support and encourage our members, donors, communities and organizational partners as we adapt to the changes we currently face. These inspiring stories are playing out across our Junior League Movement. We hope to capture the evolution of Leagues reacting to this unfolding crisis.

Hard work, generosity, and the spirit of voluntarism are needed now more than ever as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances and the uncharted waters ahead. Together, we are #JLStrong.

Do you have a #JLstrong Story to share? Fill out our survey to submit your initiative or project so it can be added to this page.

Created the JLBC Pandemic Response Fundraiser for Ridgecrest to raise money to purchase non-perishable food, fresh produce, cleaning items and toiletries for residents in this community hit hard by Covid-19.  And, the JLBC matched the first $1,500 in donations!  Nice work, JLBC!
  • Junior League of Colorado Springs, CO

Promoted their Fostering Change Fund, through which they have already granted $3,800 to seven youth, six of whom had needs directly related to COVID-19, including job loss, medical expenses and rental assistance.  Kids aging out of the foster care system are at risk of falling through the cracks; the JLCS is there to help.  Great job.
  • Junior League of Columbia, SC

Created the JLC Covid-19 Relief Fund so they can respond quickly to their community partners. Food support, healthcare, emergency housing and homelessness, senior care, the Richland County School District One and other child and family services are the fund’s focus.  Donations are still being accepted!
  • Junior League of Lancaster, PA

Turned their 15th Annual Run4Luck event virtual so their community could still come together while staying apart.  With the miles now in the books, they’re looking forward to celebrating, when it’s safe.

Created the JLLR Emergency Community Grant Program to provide short-term funds to eligible nonprofit organizations in Pulaski County working to meet the needs of women and children during the COVID-19 crisis.  Community partners through and through.
