Junior League of Portland, OR Nominating Committee Member/BIPOC Special Racial Justice Committee
Pleschette started her career with the Junior League of Portland, OR (JLP) in 2015. After her Provisional year, she decided to serve as a Small Group Leader. She dove into volunteer and social opportunities. She decided to request a placement as the assistant chair to the Community Connections committee, then she served two terms as the Membership Director. She was instrumental in driving the adoption of a virtual recruitment strategy when COVID-19 emerged in March 2020. Portland was recognized for this pivot by AJLI, and was excited to collaborate with other chapters in leading innovative ways to recruit.
The Junior League of Portland’s Community focus is to end the cycle of violence against women and children. Pleschette has volunteered at domestic violence shelters, YWCA, & Ronald McDonald House. She has onboarded new members with a welcoming and warmth presence. Her league, like others are on a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion journey. She has presented a talk on “The Art of Invading White Spaces” to the Junior League of Portland, OR and the Junior League of London. She will be the keynote speaker at JLP’s March GMM on “Racial Sensitivity.”She serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations:
- Friends of the Columbia Gorge
- Friends of the Children, Portland
- Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center
Professionally, she is a Regional Sales Director with Lenovo. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, reading, and wine tasting.
