2007 Leadership Development Award winner
The Junior League of Seattle won the 2007 Leadership Development Award for Woman with Impact, a program to aid in personal and leadership development.
This program is designed to involve League members of all levels, from Provisional to Sustaining, in a meaningful way. It also aims to introduce new members to the character of their local League and to inspire them to become active members.
This training program consists of presentations and conversations about leadership in the community, giving new members the opportunity to learn more about the roles they can play in the League and the community at large. It involves all categories of membership by, for example, having the Sustainers be trainers for the program.
This program has continued as a fall workshop offered by the Seattle League. It’s emphasized as a benefit of joining this League.
